The monochrome Lexmark XM5370 printer is a multifunction device which is also capable of scanning, copying and faxing tasks when required. It is ideal for larger workgroups in busy offices where extended print runs are the norm. From letters to official reports and many other types of documentation, this unit will work to a professional standard every time. It is compatible with a range of media, including labels, transparencies and card stock, along with a range of paper sizes. The paper handling features include a 550-sheet input tray, along with a 100-sheet multipurpose feeder for non-standard media and a 550-sheet output bin. This machine comes with 2048MB of memory, though this can be upgraded to 6144MB, and there is a quad core 1200 MHz processor to ensure jobs are completed accurately.
The Lexmark XM5370 is quite a sizable machine that will be awkward to move once installed, it weighs 97.2lb and measures 14.9 x 21.9 x 22.7 inches. There is a USB 2.0 slot on the front which enables staff to create and transfer documents using a memory stick. To keep the entire workforce connected, gigabit Ethernet is built-in. The 7-inch full-colour touchscreen interface acts like a tablet, letting staff use familiar gestures like swipes and taps to locate what they need quickly. Paper path access is solely from the front of the machine, making it easy to spot and deal with jams quickly.
Advantages
This printer will produce up to 66 ppm, the time to first print is 4.5 seconds and the maximum monthly yield is 350,000 pages. To boost productivity, the duplexing function is integrated into the printer, so staff just need to press a button for double-sided copies. With an Energy Star certificate, this is an especially eco-friendly machine and the sleep mode is ideal for cutting power costs.
Disadvantages
With the Lexmark XM5370, wireless connectivity does not come as standard and there is no support for colour printing.
