Expert review of the OKI B512dnw printer
Though the print quality is excellent, the Oki B512dnw slows down considerably when printing graphics and charts, and will never achieve the 46 ppm as promised by the manufacturer. Black texts are crisp down to a font size of 8pt, but are blurred or grey on smaller fonts. The paper capacity is 530 sheets but can be optimized up to 1,160 through the purchase of a second tray.
The device is user-friendly and wireless enabled, and users can print remotely via a smartphone or tablet app.
Design
Compared with printers of equal specs, the Oki B512dnw is quite small and light. It can service multiple devices. Designed with ease of use in mind, the user can access the paper tray at the front for loading and collect the printed sheet at the top of the device. All the manual controls are situated right beside the output tray. Measuring just 387mm x 394mm x 286 mm, the Oki B512dnw will fit onto a desk easily.
