Perfect for all medical printing needs, the Oki C711DM machine is a reliable and efficient colour and black and white printer designed to work with nuclear medicine, CT/ MRI scans, ultrasound and X-ray. The intuitive device integrates effortlessly with medical equipment through embedded DICOM software and does not require conversion software or external hardware. It provides high quality and seamless prints that are ideal for non-diagnosis use or to provide images for clients or patients. Up-to-date colour matching technology ensures the image is a high-quality duplication. The machine also promises a more cost-effective solution than other systems by consuming less energy and using a specific sleep mode.
Design
The sleek, cube-like design measures 389 x 435 x 546 mm and weighs approximately 28kg. The DICOM server provides three simultaneous imaging equipment connections and supports most mainstream operating systems, including Windows and Mac. It includes an integrated web server and comes with DICOM 3.0 Print SCP and Store to Print capability. The machine supports a wide variety of media sources, from A6 to A4-wide 1200mm banners and from 64 to 250gsm. It comes with versatile paper capacity storage, with 630 sheets as standard, which can be increased to 1,690 sheets with two additional trays.
Advantages
The Oki C711DM is a great niche printing machine embedded with the DIACOM software. It is therefore designed to print a range of high-resolution medical images from X-rays to nuclear medicine and MRI, CT and ultrasound scans without the need for extra software or hardware. As standard and with the additional trays, the machine has brilliant paper storage, and the printing speed is also above average.
Disadvantages
The Oki C711DM machine is an extremely niche printer, and users will need to really assess their requirements before purchasing this device. The user will need to ensure medical equipment will be completely compatible with the machine to get the full benefits of the DIACOM software integration.
