Expert review of the OKI MC362dnw printer
The OKI MC362dnw is a colour LED multifunction printer that comes with an excellent set of features, and not only can it function as a printer, but also as a standalone copier and fax machine. This printer also features automatic duplex printing and scanning, as well as excellent paper handling capacity with a 250-sheet tray. The MC362dnw also is able to be upgraded to increase that capacity still further with an additional 530-sheet tray.
Design
The dimensions of the printer measure in at 427 x 509 x 444mm (width x depth x height, with the total weight of the device being calculated to be approximately 29kg. In regard to connectivity, the printer offers USB 2.0 Device IF as well as USB 2.0 Host IF and 100/100 TX Ethernet. An 8.89cm LCD display provides a simple user interface, and there are also one touch function buttons on the intuitive controls and menus. This printer is especially well built, able to cope with a good amount of wear and tear. The warm up time for the MC362dnw is 60 seconds from the initial power on, and 32 seconds from power save mode.
Advantages
The OKI MC362dnw is able to fax and print straight from a USB drive or computer, as well as scan to either. The printing speeds are as fast as 24 pages per minute when printing in black and white, and 22 pages per minute when printing in colour, with a print resolution of 1,200 x 600 DPI. The scanning speed is also very fast at rates of 20 pages per minute in colour, and even faster at 30 pages per minute in black and white.
Disadvantages
The OKI MC362dnw still has a few flaws, the most serious of which is the operating costs, with printing expenses being quite costly.
