The Panasonic KX-MB2061E is a reasonably priced eight-in-one multifunction machine that is aimed at users who need a user-friendly and comprehensive communication centre. It has standard fax, copy, colour scanning, and printing capabilities, plus full telephony features that are expandable. Versatile connectivity makes it suitable for sharing, but it lacks upgrades for the paper capacity and memory.
Design
The robust build of the Panasonic KX-MB2061E is proof of the highly durable design that can withstand constant use, even in the most rugged environments. It measures 12 inches tall, 17 inches deep, and 16.53 inches wide, and weighs approximately 11.8kg. It uses a laser print engine running on 32MB of RAM. The standard connectivity options are Ethernet and high-speed USB 2.0. The main paper tray can handle 250 sheets, while the automatic document feeder can handle 20 sheets. There is a sheet-fed multipurpose feeder to ensure consistent paper flow. The busy operator panel has an alphanumeric keypad, navigational controls, a two-line, 16-character monochrome display screen, and one-touch operational buttons.
Advantages
It has a digital answering function and a DECT 6.0 cordless telephone system with a corded handset, which can be expanded to six handsets. The Panasonic KX-MB2061E is easy to share in a network, and it is easy to remotely configure and manage through an internet browser. The Panasonic KX-MB2061E is fast, with speeds of up to 24ppm, and it can produce sharp text documents on plain paper. Disadvantages
The memory is limited and not upgradeable. Although the Panasonic KX-MB2061E is aimed at multi-user environments, the low paper capacity prevents it from being more efficient when shared by more people. The print resolution of the Panasonic KX-MB2061E is limited to 600x600dpi, so very detailed and high resolution images may appear grainy.
