Ricoh SP 211SF Printer Review
Expert review of the Ricoh SP 211SF printer
The Ricoh SP211SF is a multi-functional printer that is well suited for almost any office workgroup where a high output is required. This printer has capabilities to print, copy, scan and fax. Useful features, such as an intuitive control panel and excellent paper handling, put this printer a step above the rest. This printer unfortunately takes a while to warm up and copy resolution is at a standard measurement.
Design
The weight of a Ricoh SP-211SF is about 11kg and measures 402 x 360 x 293mm. It features an intuitive menu in the easy-to-read display, and a multitude of useful buttons. The large paper tray grips allow for a good grip, and the black and white colour scheme helps it fit in any office setting. The cube shape and small size ensure that it will fit in just about any office space.
Advantages
The Ricoh SP-211SF prints in black only, scans in colour, and provides G3 faxing. It prints at an outstanding speed of around 22 pages per minute, in black. The regular yield cartridge capacity is around 1,000 prints, while the high yield is around 2,600 prints. The starter kit black cartridge yields about 700 prints. Print and scan resolution are both about average, at up to 600 x 600 dpi.
Disadvantages
Warm-up can take about 30 seconds, it doesn’t hurt productivity too much, but you might have to wait at the printer for a moment. The copier resolution is only about 300 dpi, and while this is lower than the print resolution, it is very standard. It does not have an SD slot, wireless or Bluetooth capabilities to make work life easier. The printer does not have professional finishing features. In addition, paper input is only about 150 sheets, which is low but might be all you need for a small, space-saving printer.
