The Ricoh SP C262SFNw is a colour laser multifunction printer that is suitable for small offices with small-to-medium volume printing demands. This unit includes printing, copying, faxing and scanning functions. The printer features a 50-sheet automatic document feeder (ADF) to facilitate copying and scanning large reports. It will print on a range of media, including plain paper, cardstock, labels and envelopes and accepts a wide range of paper sizes, including letter-size documents, legal-size documents, envelopes and customer receipts. Automatic duplexing is included as standard to help reduce the amount of paper used for printing.
Design
The printer weighs 30 kg and measures 420 x 493 x 473 mm. It has a standard paper capacity of 250 sheets, and optional additional input trays can increase the capacity to 751 sheets. The maximum monthly duty cycle of this printer is 65,000 pages, although Ricoh recommends a monthly print volume of 3,000 pages. The Ricoh SP C262SFNw features USB, Ethernet and Wi-Fi network connectivity. The printer also features an intuitive 4.3-inch touchscreen control panel that helps keep your productivity high.
Advantages
The unit's flatbed scanner and ADF make copying and scanning documents a breeze. The printer has a warm-up time of 29 seconds and time to print the first page after the warm-up is less than 14 seconds. This printer features a print speed of 21 ppm, while its maximum print resolution is 1200x1200 dpi, and its maximum scan resolution is 100 to 600 dpi for both colour and monochrome. The printer supports a wide variety of operating systems, including Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS, Linux, Novell and UNIX.
Disadvantages
The paper input for this printer is at most 751 sheets of paper meaning that a company which prints quite a bit more than this would require the printer to be refilled often. In addition, the recommended monthly print volume is fairly low.
