Samsung ML-1865 Printer Review

Expert review of the Samsung ML-1865 printer

Our Verdict:
star
star-filled

If you don't fancy a full on, office-sized printer, and are looking for something more compact then consider the Samsung ML-1865. This ultra compact printer packs a powerful punch, producing excellent quality documents at a reasonable speed and at an even better price.

Design

The Samsung ML-1865 is one of the smallest printers on the market. Measuring just 341 x 224 x 184mm, this micro laser printer will fit onto any size desk and is ideal for bedrooms as well as small offices that are stuck for space. The printer has a USB port at the rear, the paper holder folds down at the front and has capacity for 150 sheets.

Advantages

Aside from its size the Samsung ML-1865 printer comes with a number of benefits. Running costs are low, print quality is high and it comes with WiFi which means you can connect as many devices as you wish to the printer.

Disadvantages

Although the Samsung ML-1865 is pitched as an office printer, it may be more suited for home use. The lack of a scanner/copier/fax may put off business users that want an all-in-one device to save on space and money. Print quality for graphic documents is also questionable, with printouts showing slight signs of banding.
