Designed for small offices, the Samsung ML-2545 mono printer boasts a small footprint but is packed with innovative features such as the company's AnyWeb print feature and one-touch button operation for total ease of use. Unfortunately, speed and text quality are average, at best where the Samsung ML-2545 mono laser printer is concerned.
Design
Running on a 300MHz processor and 8MB of memory, the Samsung ML2545 laser printer is a simple and straightforward monochrome laser printer that connects to a single computer via high-speed USB 2.0. The ML-2545 printer weighs 7.2Kg and features an 80-sheet output tray on top and a minimal control panel on the top right-hand side. The paper cassette is loaded at the bottom, just below the single sheet manual feed slot.
Advantages
The Samsung ML 2545 monochrome laser printer is lightweight and able to use different types of speciality paper including card stock, coloured paper, and transparencies. The Samsung ML2545 black and white office printer is small, so it can fit on most desktops. The separate manual paper feed slot is convenient. The paper capacity of the Samsung ML-2545 is up to 250 sheets, which is just right for a small office. The ML2545 Samsung laser printer also features a convenient Print Screen button, allowing users to quickly print off whatever they wish from their computer screen.
Disadvantages
Speed is the major drawback of the Samsung ML-2545. It has a limited and non-expandable memory capacity, making it insufficient for larger and more complicated jobs. The paper capacity cannot be expended, either. The Samsung ML-2545 mono laser printer produces sub-par text quality and cannot be shared by a network. The ML2545 from Samsung is also limited to using black Samsung ML-2545 toner cartridges without the capability to print in colour.
