The Samsung ML-2955DW printer is a basic monochrome office printer that is built for one purpose – speed. With quick print out times, super-fast Ethernet capabilities and built-in duplex technology, the ML-2955DW is the ideal small office printer.
Design
The Samsung ML-2955DW is fairly uninspiring – the all-white device comes with a couple of basic function buttons, a USB port at the front, and an Ethernet socket at the rear. The plus-side to the rather dull looking printer is that it has a very small footprint (348,mm (w) x 338mm (d) x 197mm (h), which is perfect if you are struggling for space. It also weights next to nothing (7.2kg).
Advantages
Despite the price, the Samsung ML-2955DW comes with an impressive array of features. One which stands out is Samsung's new Eco Mode setting which at the touch of a button saves you money and resources by reducing paper usage as well as toner consumption. In terms of connectivity, the Samsung ML-2955DW printer comes with Ethernet as well as wireless technology, allowing you to attach as many PCs/Laptops as you wish.
Disadvantages
Despite the Samsung ML-2955DW's relatively low price, it would have been nice to see additional functions such as fax/scanner which would have made this printer perfect for small offices that don't want to fork out extra on a stand-alone copier/fax machine. The printer could also benefit from having a larger paper storage capacity – 250 sheets will soon go in a medium/small office.
