Designed for small offices, the Samsung SCX-3405 is a compact multifunction monochrome laser printer. It delivers solid text documents and greyscale images and can also process scans and copies. The Samsung SCX-3405 mono laser multifunction printer has a monthly duty cycle of 20,000 pages and has a print resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi. This unit comes equipped with a 64MB memory and hi-speed USB 2.0 for connectivity. Unlike other multifunction printers, the Samsung SCX-3405 all-in-one laser printer does not come with a fax machine.
Design
The Samsung SCX3405 multifunction printer takes up little space on desks as it only measures 389 x 274 x 249 mm and weighs 6.7 kg. Print and copy speed can go as fast as 20 ppm for monochrome output. The Samsung SCX-3405 mono laser printer has a flatbed scanner on top and a 150-sheet paper tray on the bottom. A small control panel with helpful one-touch functions like ID copy, scan to, and Eco button is on the front of the printer.
Advantages
The Samsung SCX-3405 laser printer is easy to use and install. It is small and compact and delivers great quality output. The Samsung SCX-3405 printer comes with a hi-speed USB 2.0 port that can be used on Macintosh, Windows, and Linux computers. Disadvantages
Duplexing can only be done manually. The SCX-3405 mono printer does not have expandable paper handling capacity and lacks a fax machine. Though the Samsung SCX 3405 is sufficient for small offices, it may not be able to keep up with a more demanding work environment.
