The Samsung SCX4705ND is a laser multi-functional printer with capacity for monochrome printing, copying and scanning. It will work well in a home or small office, working quietly and efficiently to produce clear, black documents. The small size and low operating noise means it can be used even in a small workspace without distractions. There is an eco-mode to reduce paper, toner and energy consumption, providing both economic and ecological benefits. The design of the printer is reliable, let down only by a hard to read display screen. However, this printer is limited in its capabilities. As a monochrome printer only, if there is the need to print photographs or colour documents, an alternative or additional printer will need to be purchased.
Design
The grey coloured Samsung SCX-4705ND measures 384mm x 406mm x 338mm. A built in paper cassette holds 250 sheets, while the auto-document feeder holds 40 sheets for quick copying and scanning. The printer is operated from a control panel with buttons and a two line LCD screen. Print resolution is 1200 dpi, print speed is 28 ppm and the monthly duty cycle is 12,000 pages. Connection is achieved from a USB or Ethernet connection.
Advantages
The Samsung SCX-4705ND will save money and benefit the environment thanks to the eco-mode button, which will serve as the default setting once activated.
