The Samsung SL-M3820DW is a speedy and reliable entry level monochrome laser printer that produces high-quality documents while maintaining lower operating costs. It comes with technologies that can automatically enhance the print quality to ensure sharper text and clearer graphics on a wide range of media types and automatic double-sided printing to reduce paper usage. The lack of upgrades could make this inefficient for a growing business.
Design
Despite the box-shaped frame, the Samsung SL-M3820DW is a compact monochrome laser printer that measures 14.4 inches wide, 14.4 inches deep, and 10.3 inches tall, and weighs approximately 10Kg. It comes with high-speed USB 2.0, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi as standard, and it runs on 128MB RAM, with 600MHz processing speed. Paper feeds from a 250-sheet standard cassette plus a 50-sheet multi-purpose tray, and exits to a 150-sheet output bin. The operator panel has a numeric keypad, one-touch operational and navigation buttons, and a two-line LCD screen.
Advantages
The Samsung SL-M3820DW supports Google cloud and Samsung mobile print technologies. Easy eco driver software helps reduce toner usage by up to 20 percent, and it helps minimise energy consumption too. It is easy to share over a network. Duplex printing is standard. The print speed is up to 40ppm, with clean and crisp output in a resolution of up to 1200 x 1200dpi. The input capacity is upgradeable to 820 sheets, and the memory is expandable to 512MB. The small footprint of the Samsung SL-M3820DW allows for easy set up and installation on a standard desktop. Disadvantages
