Designed for use in larger offices and perfect when used as part of a fleet, the Xerox AltaLink C8070 can cope with high-yield printing jobs on a daily basis and is ideal for workplaces where speed and productivity are paramount but quality and results are also necessary. With a print speed of up to 70 ppm and a monthly duty cycle of 300,000 pages, the Xerox AltaLink C8070 is more than up to the task of keeping up with busy workplaces. Xerox’s ConnectKey technology enhances connectivity, allowing for ease of use and greater workflow.
Design
The Xerox AltaLink C8000 series is a highly scalable series that allows offices to choose the finishing options that they need and use the most, which means that the final dimensions and design of each product will differ. However, the base configuration is 640 x 173.8 x 1114 mm, with a weight of 151.9 kg. It comes in an off-white and petrol blue design that suits almost any office décor, and has a 10.1 inch colour touchscreen control panel.
Advantages
The Xerox AltaLink C8070 has many advantages, including a print speed of up to 70 ppm, a monthly printing volume of 10,000 to 40,000 pages, a duty cycle of up to 300,000 pages per month, and a maximum print resolution of 1200 x 2400 dpi. It has a first printout speed of 4.7 seconds in black and white and 4 seconds in colour, while the first copy speed is 5.7 seconds in black and white and 4.9 seconds in colour. This MFP also comes with Xerox’s unique ConnectKey technology, which allows for remote, wireless printing. It has McAfee installed for security and protection. There is a 1.91GHz processor, 8GB memory and 250GB hard drive.
Disadvantages
There are very few disadvantages to the Xerox C8070 if you’re working in a large office or business, but due to the high running costs, initial outlay and size, it isn’t suitable for smaller businesses.
