As part of the Xerox VersaLink line of printers designed specifically with smaller and medium-sized offices and workplaces in mind, the Xerox VersaLink C500N is the ideal colour LED laser printer for smaller organisations that still prize productivity and results just as larger offices do. The lower price point and more compact design of the Xerox VersaLink C500N make it suitable for workgroups or offices where space is at a premium, while the print speed of 43ppm and 550 sheet paper input tray ensures that productivity is very much the name of the game.
Design
The Xerox VersaLink C500N measures approximately 427.4 x 465.5 x 443.4mm and weighs roughly 27.6kg. With its white and petrol-blue highlights, the Xerox VersaLink C500N is chic and smart without drawing too much attention to itself, so it can fit in with almost any office décor, no matter how modern or traditional it may be. However, the real calling card of this printer’s design is the 5-inch colour touchscreen display screen and control panel. Designed to look, feel, and work like a tablet or smartphone, this feature allows users to manage jobs more easily right at the machine and adds a level of customisation to the experience not normally found in printers.
Advantages
The Xerox VersaLink C500N displays a great many advantages, but really it is the combination of cutting-edge connectivity, paper handling and print speeds that make this such a great investment for smaller and mid-sized operations. Featuring Xerox’s unique ConnectKey technology, this printer has a ‘workplace assistant’ built into it, making it easier than ever to use and allowing users to print directly from the likes of Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive. Mobile printing can also be achieved by using Mopria, Google Cloud Print, Apple AirPrint and Android-supported Xerox apps. This small machine also boasts high-yield capabilities, with a 550-sheet input tray as standard and monthly duty cycle of up to 120,000 pages.
Disadvantages
There are very few disadvantages to the Xerox VersaLink C500N, although some organisations, where space is at a real premium, may need to look for printers with a smaller footprint.
