The Xerox VersaLink C500NW is a colour printer designed to support a wide variety of media types while offering unprecedented productivity, with amazing reliability and print quality. The printer is fast and expandable with good quality printing results and offers very competitive running costs in comparison to that offered by other printers within the same class.

Design

The Xerox VersaLink C500NW comes with dimensions measuring in at 474.4 x 465.5 x 443.4mm (width x depth x height). The overall weight of the printer has been calculated to be as much as 27.6kg. Light-emitting diode arrays (LED) are used to print images instead of lasers. The paper input capacity of the printer is as much as 700 sheets, which is split between a sheet cassette capable of handling 550 sheets and a multipurpose tray capable of handling 150 sheets. A 2000 sheet high capacity feeder can also be added. The maximum monthly cycle of the C500NW is 120,000 pages, though 8,000 pages is the recommended monthly print cycle. It is possible to configure the control panel to offer customised layouts and home screens to individual users via a Xerox system known as Simple ID.

Advantages

The Xerox VersaLink C500NW has an incredibly fast printing speed of up to as much as 43 pages per minute in both black and white and in colour, with an equally impressive printing resolution that is as high as 1,200 x 2,400 DPI. In addition to Simple ID, other strong security features on the printer include the likes of Access Controls and an Audit Log, as well as authentication methods like Self-Signed, Revocation List certificate and Path Validation.

Disadvantages

In order to get Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct, the user will have to pay extra, and the purchase price is already rather high.
