The Xerox VersaLink C505S is a hard-working, high yield, ultra-productive multifunction printer that can also reach top speeds. This all-in-one printer, scanner, copier and fax machine is the ideal addition to medium and large offices, workspaces and workgroups and boasts print speeds of up to 43ppm in both colour and black and white. With a 550 sheet input tray and a 120,000 print monthly duty cycle, this printer doesn’t just prioritise speed but also puts productivity front and centre, making it a real workhorse that’s bound to be a blessing for almost any office.
Design
The Xerox VersaLink C505S has measurements of roughly 470 x 502.8 x 643.7mm and weighs approximately 35kg, although the final weight and measurements will be subject to the user’s decisions and choices on finishing options since this is a customisable unit. As with most Xerox’s machines, this printer features a white and petrol-blue finish that is sleek and modern, making it ideal for most offices and workspaces. There is also a 7 inch colour touchscreen display and control panel that looks and works just like a smartphone or tablet.
Advantages
One of the main advantages of this multifunction printer is its incredible productivity. Not only does the Xerox C505S offer a 550 sheet input tray and 150 sheet bypass tray as standard, but you can upgrade up to four 550 sheet trays and a 2,000-sheet high-capacity feeder should they be necessary. Another advantage is the multifunction printer’s great connectivity, with mobile printing available out of the box thanks to using cloud technology, such as Apple AirPrint and Google Cloud Print and Xerox’s own apps. This model also has great security features, with SecurePrint and card authentication, but when it comes to results, it really shines with a print resolution of up to 1,200 x 2,400 dpi.
Disadvantages
Unfortunately, the size and price point of this versatile and hard-working multifunction printer puts it out of reach of many smaller offices and businesses.
