The Xerox Versant 3100 is a professional multifunction printer designed for the busy corporate environment to handle substantial print runs smoothly and efficiently. Its various scan, copy and print functions are controlled easily from a touchscreen display with the help of software wizards. Exceptionally high print speeds and monthly volumes enable this superb machine to rip through huge print jobs unattended and entirely automatically. Automated colour management eliminates all kinds of common errors and maximises efficiency. Inline finishing produces directories, photo books and other company literature that requires only binding for completion. Image quality is consistently superb, and the Xerox Versant 3100 is environmentally friendly with its power-saving operation and low carbon footprint.
Design
The Xerox 3100 combines automatic and manual features in an innovative and intuitive way. Colour, consistency and process controls are automatic, requiring no operator intervention, whilst other tasks are completed in a few mouse clicks. Together these features span the entire workflow process and maximise productivity. Colour calibration, a traditionally time-consuming task, takes just a few moments, while other built-in tools automate jobs that were previously manual. With a print speed of 180 ppm and up to 80,000 prints per month, even the biggest print runs are completed with ease and minimal operator intervention. Maximum runs of 250,000 per month are easily achievable. Inline scanning combines with colour management software to produce superb results every time, and image quality is ultra HD.
Advantages
Automated sheet clearing in the Xerox Versant 3100 prevents printer jamming. It features the capability of printing extra-long sheets, up to 660mm, for specialised tasks. Stock settings can be stored internally for future retrieval, and automated inline finishing greatly increases production speed.
Disadvantages
The only small drawback with the Xerox Versant 3100 is one common to all machines controlled from an LCD, which is its slight reflectivity under strong ambient light.
