The Xerox WorkCentre 7220i is a hefty machine that looks professional in any office environment, the Xerox WorkCentre 7220i is a little on the slow side when it comes to printing out the pages, but the resolutions achievable are good, as is the energy efficiency.
Design
Castor mounted, with a small footprint, in classic Xerox blue and white colours, the Xerox WorkCentre 7220i weighs in at a hefty 257.94 pounds and measures 23 inches wide by 25.2 inches deep by 44.6 inches tall, with the top output and control panel increasing the need for overhead clearance. Task status and controls are via the easy-to-read colour LCD touch panel to the front of the unit. Front-load paper trays and cartridge change complete the cleverly functional design.
Advantages
This Xerox 7220i colour laser printer combination features an integrated scanning and copying function and can achieve resolutions of up to 2,400 x 600 dpi in monochrome and colour prints. The machine can go from start to first page printed in 8.4 seconds for colour or 7.1 seconds for monochrome. Thereafter, it prints around 20 pages per minute in single-sided A4 black and white or colour. It can scan up to 55 impressions per minute. The machine has a maximum monthly duty cycle of 50,000 pages per minute, with a recommended monthly volume of 5,500 pages, making it a suitable option for offices of a small to medium size. The machine boasts a decent standard input capacity of over 1,000 sheets, which reduces the amount of time spent on refills. The Xerox WorkCentre 7220i also benefits from Blue Angel and Energy Start energy-efficiency ratings.
Disadvantages
The speed of this Xerox WorkCentre 7220i is a little lower than might be expected from comparable models, while the lack of an auto duplexing function could make harder work of document printing.
