The Xerox WorkCentre 7225i printer is a decent all-rounder that is capable of handling sizeable print runs, though its speed may be an issue for some users.
Design
The Xerox WorkCentre 7225i is a castor mounted multi-function printer unit that is styled in the classic Xerox colours of blue and white. The unit weighs in at a considerable 257.94 pounds and measures 23 inches wide by 25.2 inches deep by 44.6 inches high, and consideration should be given to the top-mounted output trays and control panel when positioning so that there is sufficient clearance. The front-facing control panel consists of a full colour LCD display for task status and input control, which is via the adjacent push button controls. Multiple front load paper trays and cartridge access complete the design.
Advantages
With a massive 107,000-page maximum monthly duty cycle (and a recommended monthly volume of 6,250 pages), the Xerox WorkCentre 7225i is a capable machine for an office of medium size. This laser colour printer can achieve a first printed monochrome page in a speed of 7.1 seconds, and it can then print at a rate of 25 pages per minute in both black and white and colour up to a maximum resolution of 2,400 x 600 dpi.
