This network-ready multifunction printer is an excellent addition to a small or medium-sized workgroup. The Brother MFC-7225N is designed to outperform its competition and predecessors with its speedy fax modem and 4-day battery backup feature. However, the bulky design is outdated. This device is also noisy and only prints in monochrome.
Design
Energy Star-qualified and network-ready, the Brother MFC-7225N is designed to increase productivity. It uses B/W laser technology and runs on 32MB of memory, which is just right for its size. It is integrated with a Super G3 33.6 Kbps fax modem and a corded phone handset for B/W faxing. The copier and scanner are sheet-fed, but there is an automatic document feeder to help users save time. The printer weighs 7.3 kg and has a 250-sheet-capacity paper feed.
Advantages
The Brother MFC-7225N is fairly compact. The speed is average at 20 ppm when copying and printing, but fax transmission is fast at 33.6 Kbps.
