The Canon L140 uses Canon 0263B002AA toner cartridges. Canon 0263B002AA toner comes in black; the black cartridge prints 2,000 pages.
The Canon L140 laser fax machine is aimed at home and small offices that require professional-quality output that does not compromise aesthetics. Also known as the Canon i-SENSYS FAX-L140, this printer is stylish and reasonably-priced for something integrated with super G3 technology, and users can enjoy copy and one-touch speed dialling features, too. However, the Canon L140 super G3 fax printer lacks a basic handset and the interface needs to be more user-friendly.
Weighing 8kg and measuring 400x580x370mm (WxDxH) with the trays extended, the Canon L-140 fax machine is surprisingly compact for a desktop and a cramped office space, but it is good enough to be shared by a small workgroup. The i-SENSYS FAX L140 stands out with the paper trays extended, but its main centrepiece is the control panel on the right-hand corner on top, which includes a busy group of buttons and a 20x2-line LCD display.
With laser fax technology, the L140 laser fax is significantly fast and quick to print and copy. The Canon L140 printer is integrated with a super G3 33.6kbps modem for speedy message transmissions, and users can save more time and leave the device unattended because of the 30-page ADF. The print quality is impressive and lasts longer than when printing on thermal paper. The Canon i-SENSYS L140 also boasts security features like password-protection, confidential transmission, and activity reports.
Some essential telephony features are absent in the Canon i-SENSYS FAX L140, such as a built-in answering machine, caller ID, and a speaker phone. The telephone handset is optional, which means users have to buy it separately. It can be overwhelming to operate the Canon L140 because of the busy control panel and the small display screen, which can be difficult to view under poor lighting conditions. Another drawback is the build, which feels flimsy and non-resilient.
