The HP LaserJet Pro M201dw uses HP 83A toner cartridges. HP 83A toner comes in black; the black cartridge prints 1,500 pages.
This laser printer is ideal for a small office, especially when colour is not required. The paper supply is generous and it helps save time with auto wireless connect. HP accepts the used cartridges for recycling, too. However, the HP LaserJet Pro M201dw tends to be sluggish and expensive in the long run, and the output tray sticks out too much, which may cause space restrictions.
Weighing approximately 6.8Kg, the HP LaserJet Pro M201dw has a fairly compact build that measures 15.1 x 11.1 x 9.9 inches to allow it to fit on most office desks. It runs on 128MB RAM, and it comes with two input paper trays: a 250-sheet default tray and a 10-sheet priority tray. It has Ethernet and a high-speed USB 2.0 as standard connectivity. There is a 196 x 34 pixel graphic LCD that can clearly display text and instructions on the printer.
The HP LaserJet Pro M201dw prints in speeds of up to 26ppm, and the automatic duplexer helps cut down paper usage. The display screen is clear and bright. There are plenty of security and productivity features, including the ability to print from Apple devices with AirPrint. Mopria certification eliminates the need to install an app or set anything up when printing from mobile devices. The HP LaserJet Pro M201dw is energy efficient.
It takes a long time for the first page to come out. The non-expandable memory makes the HP LaserJet Pro M201dw insufficient for a growing workgroup. There are no expansions for the paper capacity, and there is a lack of a paper sensor. The HP LaserJet Pro M201dw requires more room on the front due to the protruding output tray. It does not support printing from Android devices.
