The mono MX826ade Lexmark is a large monochrome laser printer and copier that is able to cope with extended workloads without experiencing any drop in quality. It has a user-friendly interface, USB and Ethernet connectivity and helpful finishing options such as hole punching and stapling. It is ideal for a large, hectic office where a large amount of high resolution copying and printing is done each day, but it may be too large for a smaller facility.
Design
The Lexmark MX826ade measures 45.3 x 27.0 x 27.3 inches and weighs 147.5lbs. Inside, the advanced imaging components and fuser will ensure it maintains maximum productivity for longer. Even in harsher working environments where there is plenty of human traffic and repeated use, a robust design and solid steel frame keep this printer in action. Along with 6GB of memory, Lexmark has packed in a 1.2-GHz quad-core processor that supports printing speeds of up to 66 ppm and scanning at a rate of 144 sides each minute.
Advantages
This is a reliable printer that has been developed to experience minimal downtime. Although it is a commercial machine, it still delivers all the luxury features of a domestic printer. The 10-inch touch screen is rendered in full colour and provides an intuitive smart interface. Full access is available from the front, and with a single door to reach all supplies, it’s easy to resolve any issues. Printing in black, it has an image quality of 1200 x 1200 dpi. At some online retailers, MX826ade Lexmark cartridges are available at much lower prices than the branded version.
Disadvantages
For smaller workplaces, the sizable Lexmark MX826ade laser printer may dominate the space, and it does not offer colour printing. In some offices, the link to a Wi-Fi connection may take slightly longer to initiate, but this is a minor inconvenience that could be resolved by the IT team.
