The Canon Pixma MG4150 uses Canon CL-541 ink cartridges. Canon CL-541 ink comes in tri-colour; the tri-colour cartridge prints 180 pages.
The Canon Pixma MG4150 is an attractive and sleek photo printer that is cost-effective to run. Printouts from the Canon MG4150 look fairly impressive, but it is not the fastest device around, and graphics output is not flawless.
Stylish, compact, and built with wireless capabilities and an auto-duplexer, the Canon Pixma MG4150 is designed for a small office that needs a copier and scanner with their colour inkjet printer. It features Canon's FastFront technology for easier access on inks and the output tray. The Pixma MG-4150 uses 2 FINE cartridges with the 4-colour system that uses 2 picoliters of droplets, integrated with the company's ChromaLife100 system. The control panel lies to the left-hand corner of the top lid and its centrepiece is a 6cm TFT colour display. The entire device weighs 5.7kg.
The scanning and copy facilities of the Canon Pixma MG4150 produce acceptable quality, with the lid being versatile enough to accommodate larger and thicker media. The scanner comes with OCR software, too. The entire device is relatively affordable to run and users can enjoy convenient features like duplex printing and built-in Wi-Fi from the Pixma MG4150. Text output is acceptable and clear, while additional perks like the PIXMA cloud link, creative park premium, and full HD movie print provide even more convenience to users of the Canon Pixma MG4150.
Some users do not like the combined colour ink cartridge system and the clumsy paper feed of the Canon Pixma MG4150. The output tray needs to be more resilient, and the ink cartridge compartment needs to be more user-friendly. The preview screen of the Canon Pixma MG4150 is still small, so viewing the menu and files can be difficult for some users. Finally, speed is very poor at 8.6ppm in fast draft mode and only 8.1ppm in normal mode, and drops further when using the auto duplexer.
