The Canon Pixma MX390 uses Canon CL-541 ink cartridges. Canon CL-541 ink comes in tri-colour; the tri-colour cartridge prints 180 pages.
The Canon Pixma MX390 is a compact multifunction printer that also scans and copies documents and images and can, if necessary, send and receive faxes. The various functions mean that the printer is the sole piece of equipment that will be required at home or in a small office. Although it is designed to accommodate a large quantity of paper, the output tray occasionally becomes blocked if a lot of sheets are input into the tray or require processing.
The Canon Pixma MX390 has a design that combines practicality with sleek looks to make for a machine that is suitable for a number of environments without it standing out. When the paper tray is closed, it measures 42 x 32 x 20 cm. The unit’s USB port and power lead are at the rear, out of the way. The printer benefits from a document feeder to speed up the process of completing large tasks, and the output tray can be released only when it is necessary.
The Canon Pixma MX390 prints in colour and mono ink, which can be done when connected to a PC or from a memory stick. Scanning of individual documents can be completed with ease by way of the document feeder, and the lid only needs to be lifted to scan something like a book or magazine. The software installation does not take long and the printer is simple to use thereafter. This ease of use is aided by the fact that the display screen and control panel are on the front of the casing and highly accessible.
The Canon Pixma MX390 is capable of accommodating 50 sheets of plain paper, however, the output tray is known to become clogged when it is subject to too many sheets of paper. This means that finished sheets will need to be regularly removed during the printing process.
