This is a compact and user-friendly printer for printing personal and family photos. A small footprint allows the Canon Selphy CP820 to be highly portable, so anyone can produce colourful, brilliant, and lab-quality photos in any location.
Design
The understated frame weighs 810 grams and measures 178mm wide, 60.5 mm tall, and 127mm deep. The Canon Selphy CP820 is mainly AC-powered, but can also run via a battery. A USB port allows direct connectivity with a computer. There is a 2.7-inch colour TFT LCD monitor for easy on-board navigation and one-touch operations. The Selphy CP820 uses dye-sublimation thermal transfer printing system and produces 300x300dpi images. The sheet feeder automatically feeds from the paper cassette.
Advantages
This model is ultra-compact, fast, and versatile. The Canon Selphy CP820 can print photos directly from a computer, camera, USB flash drives, and memory cards like SDXC, SDHC, and SD card types. Printing from microSDXC, microSD, miniSD, and miniSDHC cards is also possible with an adapter. There are built-in print settings such as red-eye correction, borderless or bordered printing, smooth skin, manual brightness adjustment, and Exif print. Print modes simplify tasks like ID photo print, cropping, and batch printing. Dye sublimation inks with over-coating help protect images for up to 100 years. It is easy to operate the Canon Selphy CP820 with its large, tilting screen.
Disadvantages
The Canon Selphy CP820 is not meant for printing documents. Mac and PC are the only supported operating systems. The Canon Selphy CP820 cannot produce high-resolution images because of the limited resolution.
