Designed for home users, the HP Deskjet 2512 is a reliable multifunction inkjet printer. It can print everything from text documents to borderless photos. High capacity cartridges can be installed to meet growing printing needs. The print speed of the HP Deskjet 2512 is a bit slow.
Design
This compact unit can save a lot of desk and shelf space. It measures only 431.4 x 438.9 x 251.6 mm. It has a flatbed scanner with a lid. To the left of the scanner is a small control panel with mini LED display. This model also features a vertical input tray and output tray with a closable lid. The HP Deskjet 2512 can handle up to 60 sheets at a time.
Advantages
At ‘best’ mode, this unit can deliver a maximum resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi. Images and photos are sure to have precise colours. The copier can deliver a maximum resolution of 600 x 300 dpi. Aside from saving space, the HP Deskjet 2512 can also save on running costs as it is Energy Star qualified.
Disadvantages
The print speed of the HP Deskjet 2512 is quite slow at 4.5ppm for colour and 7.5ppm for black on ISO. Paper-handling capacity is quite limited with no options, and an automatic document feeder is not available. Only USB connectivity is offered.
