An easy-to-use printer that is ideal for home or small office. This printer offers borderless printing and has a six-ink system with an option to use photo ink. The HP Deskjet D4155 is designed to work with the HP Photosmart software. This is a basic printer and is limited to printing matter up to 8.5 x 24 inches, which makes it unsuitable for those who need to print larger designs or marketing materials.
Design
The HP Deskjet D4155 has USB connectivity only, and is designed to handle a variety of paper types and sizes including standard paper, transparencies and glossy photo paper. It also features a USB port at the front of the printer to connect devices directly. The printer has dimensions of 45.9 x 14.4 x 48cm and weighs 3.5kg without cartridges.
Advantages
A rather unique feature, this printer offers an ink backup mode that allows printing to continue when one cartridge needs to be replaced. Photos can be printed using a card reader, digital camera, or flash drive via the USB port. The HP Deskjet D4155 can print 30 pages per minute in mono fast draft mode and 23 in colour. For best-quality printing, it prints up to 2.3 pages per minute in both colour and mono. The best resolution is 1200 x 1200 dpi in mono and up to 4800 x 1200 dpi in colour.
Disadvantages
The best-quality printing speeds are not as fast as they are on other models. To print to the best resolution a large amount of hard drive space is needed so that the print data can be processed. The smaller size of the HP Deskjet D4155 means that paper larger than 8.5 inches wide cannot be handled and it may not be the most versatile option for all office environments.
