The HP Envy 4525 All-in-One uses HP 302 ink cartridges. HP 302 ink comes in multipack; the multipack cartridge prints 150 pages.
The HP Envy is a capable all-round printer with extensive scan, print and copy functions. It makes use of the latest ink tech to prolong the life of mono and colour cartridges, and is ahead of the curve in terms of print speeds and text and image quality. This budget-focused model is ideal for homes and small office environments.
The compact and lightweight HP Envy 4525 has product dimensions of 44.5 x 36.7 x 12.8cm. When it comes to connectivity, users can access Wi-Fi, use Google Cloud and AirPrint and plug in a 2.0 USB drive. The input tray capacity is 100 sheets and there is an adjustable slider for a range of paper formats, including A6, A5 and A4. A handy plastic clip extends outwards and acts as a tray when printing begins. The printer’s duty cycle is 1,000 pages per month.
It is easy to get online with the 4525 and users subscribed to the Google and Apple ecosystems can make use of the respective print services to complete functions from a mobile device, such as a smartphone. A great mix of features, design, performance and value makes this an ideal printer for light to medium duty use in a range of environments. The black-only text document speed of 8.9 pages per minute is rather impressive and output quality is generally excellent. Printing lab-quality photos and crisp documents is possible remotely, without worries.
Direct network is not possible due to the lack of an Ethernet port and there is no way to use a memory card reader, which lessens its usefulness in office spaces, to a certain degree. The touch display is the central hub for operations and it can be quite frustrating to use, due to long presses being required.
