Expert review of the HP Officejet 3835 printer
The HP Officejet 3835 is a Wi-Fi enabled printer that offers several functions within one device: print, scan, copy and fax. It has a resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi for the documents and images it creates. The USB port makes it easy to connect to the Mac or PC that it is compatible with and it is also possible to connect wirelessly. The HP Officejet 3835 offers a way to get quality prints without spending a lot of money in the initial outlay.
Design
The smooth lines and rounded edges of the casing of the HP Officejet 3835 make it an attractive piece of equipment. There is a 1.96 inch control panel within the black casing which has an elegant, efficient and easy-to-use touchscreen. The A4 size machine has dimensions of approximately 8.54 x 14.3 x 17.7 inches and weighs 5.61 kg, which means that can be placed in any location that is most convenient to the user, making it suitable for both home and office use.
Advantages
The HP Officejet 3835 has a document feeder on top of the flatbed to easily insert documents that need to be copied or scanned. An ink cartridge is also included as part of the package. With the use of downloaded apps, it is possible to print directly from a mobile device, such as a smartphone or tablet, when using this printer. It is also possible to print direct from emails. Printing in mono and colour is possible and the printing speed differs according to which function is being used; for A4, this is 8.5 ppm and 6 ppm respectively. Fax functionality is also included which isn’t common at the price point that you’ll find the HP Officejet 3835.
Disadvantages
The three colour combination HP Officejet 3835 ink cartridge can be wasteful, especially if you find that you’re using a lot of one colour. Also, when aimed at an office environment, it is odd that duplex printing isn’t an option which we’ve found to be a more important option to customers than the included fax.
