The Canon i-SENSYS LBP7680Cx uses Canon 718 toner cartridges. Canon 718 toner comes in yellow; the yellow cartridge prints 2,900 pages.
The LBP7680CX is the latest in the i-SENSYS range from Canon. It offers users decent print speeds (20ppm) without sacrificing on quality. Aimed at the business market, the Canon i-SENSYS LBP7680CX is a must-have.
The Canon i-SENSYS LBP7680CX is fairly bulky considering that it doesn't include a scanner. Standing at 414mm(W) x 499mm(D) x346mm(H) the printer may not be ideal for small offices that are limited for space. Aside from the size, the printer comes with 12 function buttons that allow you to control the printer without having to go through your PC. There's also a small 5 line LCD screen – which could do with being slightly larger as navigating through the menus is slow and cumbersome.
If you're after speed but don't want to compromise on quality then the Canon i-SENSYS LBP-7680CX is the perfect choice – the laser-printer can churn out 20ppm in both mono and colour. It also comes with great connectivity including a USB 2.0 port so you can connect direct from a memory stick – it also has an Ethernet port so that you can create a super-quick connection between the printer and a business network. The printer also comes with a respectable 250 sheet capacity which is adequate for small/medium sized businesses but may be slightly too small for larger businesses that print in volume.
The Canon LBP-7680CX has no serious flaws. If you're looking for an enterprise printer solution then do bear in mind the speeds – although 20ppm is quick for colour and mono – it may not be fast enough for large businesses that have lots of connected devices. Overall the Canon i-SENSYS LBP7680CX is best suited to small/medium businesses looking for a reliable, high quality printer.
