The heavy-duty HP LaserJet Pro 400 Color M451dn is ideal for small offices with high-volume printing needs. This unit delivers crisp black and white documents and vividly coloured graphics and images. It has a monthly duty cycle of 40,000 pages. This network-ready unit is small and compact. The only trouble with the HP LaserJet Pro 400 Color M451dn is its slow print speeds.

Design

The HP 400 Color Printer M451dn weighs 51.1 lbs and measures only 15.9 x 19.1 x 12.7 inches. For connectivity, it has Ethernet and USB ports. The HP LaserJet Pro 400 Color Printer M451dn has a 500-sheet paper handling capacity, but an optional 250-sheet tray is also available. Print resolution can go as high as 600 x 600 dpi and print speed is 21 ppm for both mono and coloured output. The HP M451dn printer has a small control panel with function buttons on the front beside the output tray.

Advantages

The HP LaserJet Pro 400 Color M451dn colour laser printer is very easy to use, set up, and integrate into a network. It cuts paper waste in the office in half as the unit is equipped with an automatic duplexer for double-sided printing. The HP M451dn LaserJet Pro 400 Color Printer is Energy Star qualified and offers support for Macintosh, Linux, and Windows operating systems. The original HP 305A toner cartridges for the HP LaserJet Pro 400 M451dn laser printer are fairly affordable, especially when purchased in a full set that comprises all four HP M451dn replacement cartridges.

Disadvantages

The USB cable for the unit must be bought separately. The LaserJet Pro 400 Color M451dn is pretty slow for a laser printer. There are inkjet printers that can perform faster than the LaserJet M-451dn.
