Expert review of the Lexmark CX510dew printer
The Lexmark CX510dew Multi-function Colour laser printer, scanner and photocopier is powerful and reliable, if somewhat expensive. High-quality and top speed printing makes this a good choice, provided that your office has high-volume printing needs. It costs users well over £1,000, and though the ultimate price per page is quite reasonable, only larger businesses will ever recoup these costs.
All the functions perform very well. Lexmark has again designed a printer of top quality that produces excellent prints in the shortest of time.
The colour interface screen is of a reasonable size and features user-friendly touch screen technology. This Lexmark CX510dew is suitable for medium-sized businesses that have a considerable monthly output.
Design
Aesthetics come a definite second to quality and performance, and the Lexmark CX510dew multi-function printer is hardly a design masterpiece. Users require ample space for this device; however, on the upside, the printer has a convenient quiet mode and won’t make any excessive noise. The flatbed scanner/photocopier is located at the top of the device along with the full-colour interface screen, and the paper trays are situated at the front of the device for easy access.
Disadvantages
Lexmark laser printers are all about speed and quality, and the Lexmark CX-510dew is no different. High output capabilities, excellent print resolutions, top printer speeds, duplex printing function and ADF all feature as standard. The page rate per minute comes in at 32, users can load up to 1,450 pages, and the printer’s large memory allows users to line up several printing projects at once.
Disadvantages
Though very versatile, the Lexmark CX510dew doesn’t have any special features such as booklet binding or hole punching. The price is rather high, and reviewers have also lamented the lack of support provided by Lexmark.
