The Oki MC851+ boasts high-quality A3 and A4 printing, ideal for workgroups in need of a multifunction device that supports colour production. This unit prints, copies, scans, and faxes documents at decent print speeds. It has high standard input capacity, which can further be expanded to as many as 1,460 sheets. The Oki MC851+ even comes with duplexing as a standard feature. However, scan resolution is low at 600x600 dpi.
Design
Designed for small to mid-size offices, the Oki MC851+ multifunction printer measures a compact 669x565x658 mm. it has a maximum monthly duty cycle of up to 60,000 prints, and it has expandable paper capacity up to 1,460 sheets. The Oki MC851+ printer has a built-in display and control panel, in addition to an automatic document feeder, which makes scanning and copying multi-page documents easier.
Advantages
Built for productivity, the Oki MC851+ can print as many as 22 colour A4 pages and up to 34 A4 mono pages in a minute. First prints come out in as fast as 11.5 seconds for colour pages and up to 9.5 seconds for monochrome pages. The Oki MC851+ doesn't require long warm-up time and it takes less than 90 seconds to power on. The device has flexible connectivity, featuring USB, parallel, and Ethernet ports.
Disadvantages
The Oki MC851+ is a good choice for small to mid-volume offices. However, it does not offer high-resolution scanning, with outputs averaging only 600x600 dpi. The device is also slower when printing colour documents.
