The HP Deskjet 6540dt colour inkjet printer is ideal for individual use in homes and offices. This model may have a small footprint but it boasts excellent features. It can deliver laser-quality text at quick speeds. The Deskjet 6540dt inkjet printer also offers professional photo quality. Direct printing with a laptop is possible via a front USB port. This model doesn’t offer standard network connectivity.

Design

The HP Deskjet 6540dt colour printer measures 451 x 367 x 144mm and weighs 5.98kg. It has two paper trays, one can handle 150 sheets while the other can carry 250 sheets. The HP 6540dt colour inkjet printer features 16MB of memory. For connectivity, a USB port is available. The control panel comes with quick access buttons for ink status display, cancel print, and speed or print quality selection.

Advantages

The Deskjet 6540dt photo printer is very easy to setup and operate. This model offers quick print speeds of 30ppm for monochrome and 20ppm for colour. It has a maximum resolution of 4800dpi for colour and 1200 x 1200dpi for monochrome. Excellent features of the HP 6540dt Deskjet include borderless printing for photos and a standard duplexer for automatic double-sided printing. This reliable unit has a monthly duty cycle of 5,000 pages.

Disadvantages

The HP Deskjet 6540dt printer only has optional network connectivity. Hardware accessories and external print servers must be bought separately.
