Users can print laser quality text and professional quality photos with the compact HP Deskjet 6848 colour inkjet printer. The Deskjet 6848 is ideal for small workgroups as it comes with standard networking connectivity options. It features a 4MB ROM and 16MB DRAM. Its monthly duty cycle is 5,000 pages. The HP Deskjet 6848 colour printer would be better if it had a touchscreen display.

Design

This colour inkjet printer measures 451 x 367 x 144mm and weighs 6kg. It comes with an extendable paper tray that can handle 150 sheets input and 50 sheets output. An optional 250-sheet paper tray is available for growing printing needs. The HP 6848 inkjet colour printer comes with a PictBridge port on the front and Ethernet or USB interfaces at the back.

Advantages

Users can easily connect to the HP Deskjet 6848 colour printer as it offers standard Ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity. With a PictBridge port, printing photos directly from digital cameras is possible. The HP Deskjet 6848 photo printer supports borderless printing for photos and it even has optional 6-ink printing. To help reduce paper waste, the Deskjet 6848 inkjet printer comes with an automatic duplexer for double-sided printing.

Disadvantages

The HP 6848 Deskjet printer may have an advanced control panel with one-touch buttons but it would be better with a display. This would allow for easy printing and for some models, even direct editing.
