A high-end device that can print, scan, and copy documents and images, HP's Photosmart Premium Fax is a multifunction printer for small office use. It is also popular with photography enthusiasts who want to produce superb lab-quality prints. While it is very versatile and fast, it is priced higher than other HP All-In-One printers.
Design
The sleek structure and rounded corners make the HP multifunction printer different from other boxy-type inkjet printers. It weighs 23 pounds and is about 18 inches wide and 19 inches tall. It is compact enough not to look bulky in a small office. The main control panel of the Photosmart Premium Fax is right under the scanner, and the 2.4-inch LCD screen can be adjusted.
Advantages
Direct printing from USB, SD, CF, xD, and MS through a built-in card reader is possible with HP Photosmart Premium Fax. The USB port is compatible with PictBridge technology, so you can enjoy one-touch printing from supported digital cameras. Smart controls like red-eye removal, fax dialling, double-sided printing, photo zoom, and auto-answer are also included. The control panel includes a Quick Forms button that lets you choose the kind of document to print (i.e. fax coversheets, to-do lists, calendars, etc.). Photosmart Premium Fax is praised for its fast and high-quality photo output, too.
Disadvantages
For a high-end multifunction printer, the Photosmart Premium Fax lacks features like an auto-dial button. The cost of replacement black ink cartridges is higher than average. Paper capacity is also limited.
