This is an affordable and tech-savvy printer with a small footprint that can make it useful in various SOHO environments. The Ricoh Aficio SG3110DNw A4 colour GELJET printer delivers quality colour, versatile paper handling, and monochrome output in acceptable speeds, but configuring it for additional network support can be difficult.

Design

The Ricoh Aficio SG 3110DNw printer measures 212.5mm tall, 436.5mm deep, and 399mm wide, while weighing 10.5Kg. It can handle 250 sheets of plain paper, and the output bin can handle 100 sheets at a time. The Ricoh GELJET SG3110DNw liquid gel printer runs on 128MB of RAM and is powered by a Power PC 464FP CPU. Connectivity options are Ethernet, IEEE 802.11b/g/n wireless, and USB 2.0. The control panel has a 16-character, two-line LCD screen for ease when viewing the printer's status on board.

Advantages

Automatic duplexing is standard in the Aficio SG3110DNw GELJET colour printer, enabling users to save time. The maximum paper capacity of the device is 850 sheets. The pigment-based inks of the Ricoh SG3110DNw Aficio multifunction printer are ideal for producing colourful and accurate images with a wider colour gamut. On-board operation is easy with a small display screen and simplified control panel. It's fast, with print speeds of 12ppm in mono and 11.7ppm in colour. Built-in Ethernet and Wi-Fi capabilities ensure easy connectivity. For lower running costs, this machine can have high capacity Ricoh SG3110DNw gel cartridges installed which are ideal for affordable colour printing.

Disadvantages

The Ricoh SG-3110DNw gel printer does not have direct Wi-Fi support, so users need to configure around the existing LAN or Ethernet connectivity. It can be expensive to upgrade with an additional multi-bypass tray and 250-sheet paper feeder. The print controller of the SG 3110DNw colour multifunction printer has limited and non-expandable memory.
