A small office can save money in printing and running costs with the Ricoh Aficio SG7100DN, a GELJET printer that is environmentally friendly, versatile, and fast. It's user-friendly and easy to connect for individual or group use, but the Ricoh GELJET SG 7100DN A3 colour printer can be expensive to upgrade and it does not have much in the way of expandability options.

Design

The Ricoh Aficio SG7100DN gel printer is fairly compact at only 212.5mm tall, but it needs more installation space because of front-loading trays, a 509mm diameter, and a 529mm-wide frame. The overall design is sleek and modern, making it suitable for contemporary SOHO environments. The Aficio SG7100DN GELJET colour printer is powered by a 192MHz processor and runs on 32MB of memory. Default paper handling is up to 250 sheets and 100 sheets for the output bin.

Advantages

The maximum paper capacity of the Ricoh Aficio GELJET SG7100DN is 600 sheets with the additional 250-sheet paper feeder and 100-sheet bypass tray. It prints fast, with a quoted speed of 29ppm. The Ricoh SG7100DN is energy efficient and minimal carbon emissions reduce the carbon footprint. The built-in duplexer helps save paper. Large format sheets are supported. Liquid gel lasts longer and because the Aficio SG7100DN printer can use high yield cartridges, replacement ink costs become much lower. Text and images are produced smoothly in accurate colours because of the 3600x1200dpi resolution. Bundled software can simplify usage monitoring and control.

Disadvantages

The Ricoh SG 7100DN GELJET printer is not compatible with Linux operating systems. Users cannot expand the memory and the output bin's capacity. Upgrading the SG7100DN printer is expensive.
