Aimed at a small or medium-sized office that needs a fast and versatile printer, the HP Colour LaserJet 4700n promises high quality output and additional features for security and wireless printing. However, the Colour LaserJet 4700n is expensive, bulky, and heavy.
Design
The HP Colour LaserJet 4700n is an in-line colour laser printer integrated with HP IMageREt3600 so at its best, it can print colour documents with a resolution of up to 600x600dpi. The MIPS RISC 533 MHz processor and 160MB standard RAM work well for high-speed printing. The standard paper capacity of this printer is 600 sheets. The HP 4700n laser printer mainly relies on a parallel or USB 2.0 connection, but there is a network interface in the form of HP Jetdirect Fast Ethernet embedded print server.
Advantages
This Hewlett Packard device can print up to 30ppm in colour and monochrome, with the first A4-sized page ready in less than 10 seconds. The paper capacity of the HP Colour LaserJet 4700n is expandable up to 1,500 sheets, as well as the memory, which can be expanded using 3 flash memory cards. There is an optional 40GB hard disk drive for the HP Colour LaserJet 4700n, which users can integrate for additional features like secure printing.
