This is a robust business printer with built-in near field communication technology, which can simplify mobile printing and improve productivity while on the go. The Samsung Xpress SL-C1810W is likewise notable for producing less waste and for being a low-maintenance device that can produce high-quality monochrome and colour output.
Design
The box-shaped frame weighs approximately 16.6kg and measures 20.4 inches wide, 21.1 inches deep, and 15.2 inches tall. It is powered by a 533MHz dual CPU running on 256MB of memory. The small operator panel has a two-line LCD display. The print engine can produce up to 9600x600dpi resolution text and images on a wide range of paper types. The standard paper input capacity of the Samsung Xpress SL-C1810W is 250 sheets, while the output bin can handle 100 sheets at a time. There is a bypass feeder for specialty media that can handle one sheet per use. Direct to PC connectivity is via high-speed USB 2.0.
Advantages
The memory is upgradeable to 512MB. Quiet operation will not disrupt the office. The Samsung Xpress SL-C1810W prints in colour and monochrome in speeds of up to 19ppm. Wi-Fi direct and compatibility with wireless networks simplify sharing and direct printing from mobile devices. Google Cloud Print and Samsung Mobile Print are supported. The Samsung Xpress SL-C1810W is also small in size which allows it to fit on an office desk without taking too much space.
Disadvantages
The print speed of the Samsung Xpress SL-C1810W is insufficient for high volume printing environments. Duplex printing is manual. The small control panel of the Samsung Xpress SL-C1810W can also get in the way of efficient and easy on-board operation. Furthermore, there are no options to expand the paper capacity.
