The Lexmark XM7155x is a monochrome digital printer that gets small to medium departments working more productively. Providing multiple functions, it can print, copy, scan or fax a range of documents, and it is compatible with many types of media, including A4, A5, folio, legal, statement and envelopes. Although it does lack a wireless connection, this printer has a USB 2.0 port, a PC connection and networking capabilities.
Design
With a taller frame, the Lexmark XM7155x laserjet printer takes up less space. It features a subtle white and grey finish to blend in with any office decor. On the front and slightly to the right is a touchscreen panel with a 10.2-inch screen. From here, users can look at a preview of what they will print or choose to scan a document and then send it via email or the local network. This machine weighs 111kg, and its dimensions are 657mm x 612mm x 1198mm.
Advantages
Developed to enhance productivity, this XM7155x Lexmark laserjet printer has an 800 MHz processor and 1024MB of RAM that users can upgrade to 3072MB depending on the needs of a workplace. When printing or copying, it has a speed of 55ppm, and the first copy is out in 4.5 seconds. The standard resolution is 600 x 600 dpi, while the highest resolution is 1200 x 1200 dpi. For clarity, users can enlarge documents to 400% or shrink them to 25% of their original size. The rated monthly rated print cycle is 350,000 pages. To keep the workflow moving throughout the day, this printer takes high capacity toner cartridges and has an input capacity of 2,750 sheets.
Disadvantages
A lack of colour printing capabilities means this monochrome Lexmark printer will not be the right choice in many offices. In addition, without wireless connectivity, it seems to lag behind its competitors.
