Expert review of the Xerox Phaser 6600VN printer
The Xerox Phaser 6600VN single-function colour laser printer is great for medium to large businesses. It prints quickly and efficiently in both colour or black. It includes special features such as earth conscious settings and advanced image options that put it in a class of its own. It would be fantastic to see this printer double its standard resolution for even clearer image quality. Despite the availability in other versions of the 6600, this version does not include automatic two-sided printing, which could save users both paper and money.
Design
The Xerox Phaser 6600VN weighs 25.5 kg and has practical dimensions of 430 x 488 x 384 mm. The design is visually appealing with a cube shape and wave design on top where you will find the display, buttons, and paper output.
Advantages
The Xerox Phaser 6600VN offers an impressive 80,000 images per month duty cycle. It also prints quickly at up to 35 ppm in both colour and black. Print resolution is up to 1200 x 1200 dpi with enhanced image quality. This printer warms up more quickly from power-saving mode and prints the first page more quickly than many printer models. The amount of productivity for the physical size is quite impressive. Advanced features like settings for photos, colour calibration, watermarks, and eco-conscious aspects make this a specialized and efficient printer.
Disadvantages
The Xerox Phaser 6600VN could use an increase in standard print resolution. This would be especially complimentary given the advanced image and colour options offered by this printer. In standard mode, it only prints at about 600 x 600 dpi. Luckily, enhanced image quality allows for printing at up to 1200 x 1200 dpi. Unfortunately, this printer does not allow printing on both sides of the page. Two-sided printing would make this machine even more cost efficient by saving paper. This version of the printer does not include wireless connectivity, although the option is available in other versions of the Phaser 6600.
